Really cool game, love the concept.
if you do continue working on this game, could i suggest deleting the books that are on fire after a while, since i braught a book back up with me to the book chute, and got a score of 76, by spamming the chute button. also the stairs had weird collisions when carrying a burning book.
Overall good game was fun to play

Good catch, the books vanish after some time but we ended up making the vanish time huge in playtesting because it was more fun to have a room on fire :D
Maybe some 'ow' audio and drop() on pickup of a burning book would do it in cute fun way.
